Ciao! I am Massimo Giovarruscio, a specialist endodontist from Rome, Italy. I’m also an, author, thought leader and educator.
Over more than 25 years, I have painstakingly built a reputation as one of the world’s leading specialists in my field.
I’ve done this by combining years of training at the highest level with the steadfast belief that nothing is impossible for those who dare.
But mostly it’s been by sheer dedication to my practice, through which I’ve saved many thousands of compromised teeth and smiles using up-to-the-minute, evidence-based endodontic techniques. Among them were many teeth that other dentists or clinicians with a ‘special interest’ in endodontics may have removed.
I guess that’s where i’m different.

I have a true passion for healing and restoring nature’s greatest gift – the smile – without resorting to prosthetics or restorative treatments.
And I’ve developed a signature workflow that means even the most complex of root canal therapy treatments rarely takes longer than a single session.

Restorative Treatments
As a specialist endodontist, my first passion will always be saving teeth with gentle, effective root canal therapy.
But I believe care doesn’t end when the tooth is sealed and the pain has gone away. That’s why I’ve trained hard to master crowns, fillings and other restorative aesthetic treatments not usually found in the endodontist’s portfolio.
In receiving endodontic and restorative care from the same experienced clinician, my patients can be confident I am working towards clear long-term health and aesthetic goals at every step of treatment.

Nothing compares to the satisfaction I get from saving teeth – especially when other professionals say it’s impossible.
But the feeling I get from passing on my experience and expertise to fellow endodontists, dentists and the next generation of clinicians comes close.
It’s been my honour to hold lecturing and teaching positions at King’s College London, Sechenov University of Moscow and more recently, the University of Plymouth.
I teach privately at Bristol’s Delta Training Academy, where I am a co-owner and director and am a prolific speaker at international congresses and symposiums. My past engagements include speaking on behalf of the British and Italian Endodontic Societies.
I’ve contributed to the canon of endodontic literature as the author of a seminal textbook used in the world’s top universities to teach the science of endodontics at postgraduate level.
I’ve also written around 20 research papers and articles that continue playing a part in shaping how endodontics is practised internationally.
